ABOUT US

Hi! It's so nice to meet you, I am the owner Adrienne Leite. Mom of 3, kind, generous, and wild little Boys. I know the value of clothing that is both affordable and durable. Every item we carry has been put to the test and passed with flying colours!  I promise that our clothing will be a new favourite addition to your wardrobe because we take the time to find amazing quality items.

9 Blocks was a result of the 2 things I love most, Art&Design and my Community.

Combining the skills from acquiring a degree in Fine Arts @ UWO and a degree in business from Okanagan College allowed me to build a company that is both a reflection of my passion for creativity as well as my respect for the authentic and accountable business practices.

Our family also understands the value of Community.  I saw a need for an apparel provider that could help local businesses create staff or promotional items at quantities that make sense for a family owned or local business. 9 Blocks has no minimum order and we don't charge a fee to help you design your item. We make the process of creating advertising and promotional items easy for the businesses in our community and I take a lot of pride in that.

Care Instructions for DTF Prints

Washing

  1. Wait Before Washing After receiving your DTF-printed garment, it's crucial to wait at least 48 hours before washing it. This allows the adhesive to fully bond with the fabric, ensuring the design stays intact during washing.

  2. Turn Garments Inside Out Turning your garments inside out before washing them is one of the most effective ways to protect your DTF transfer. This reduces friction between the design and other fabrics in the washing machine, preventing unnecessary abrasion that can cause fading or peeling.

  3. Use Cold Water Washing in cold or cool water is essential for protecting both the fabric and the print. Hot water can cause the print to peel, fade, and potentially shrink the garment. Cold water is gentle and helps maintain the integrity of the transfer.

  4. Choose a Gentle or Delicate Cycle Opt for the gentle or delicate cycle on your washing machine to minimize agitation. This cycle is less abrasive and ensures that the print is not subjected to unnecessary stress. Avoid using heavy-duty cycles, as they can be too harsh on both the fabric and the transfer.

  5. Use Mild Detergent Harsh detergents, bleach, and fabric softeners can damage DTF transfers. Always use a mild, gentle detergent that is free from strong chemicals. This helps preserve the adhesive and prevents the colors from fading prematurely.

  6. Avoid Fabric Softeners Fabric softeners can leave a residue on the transfer, weakening its adhesion and causing the design to peel or crack over time. For best results, skip fabric softeners altogether, or use them sparingly and only when necessary.

  7. Hand Washing (Optional) If you want to go the extra mile, hand washing your DTF garments is the gentlest method of all. However, if time or resources are limited, the washing machine method outlined above will still provide excellent results.

Drying

  1. Air Drying The best method for drying DTF garments is air drying. Lay your garment flat or hang it to dry naturally. Avoid hanging it by the shoulders, as this can stretch out the fabric and distort the design. Air drying preserves the quality of the print and prevents the potential damage caused by high heat.

  2. Using a Dryer If you must use a dryer, always opt for the lowest heat setting. High heat can cause the transfer to shrink, crack, or distort. Make sure to remove the garment from the dryer as soon as it's dry to prevent any further heat exposure.

  3. Avoid Dry Cleaning Dry cleaning is not recommended for DTF-printed garments, as the chemicals used in the process can degrade the adhesive and affect the print
